Quality Assurance Technician
Job Description
KVA is currently seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Technician for our plant operations.
KVA specializes in Relay Panels and the Construction and Maintenance of transmission and distribution substations. From the Relay Panels to Control Enclosures to Substation Services, we provide the people, apparatus and expertise.
Skills needed:
- Understanding of wiring diagrams
- Knowledge of basic symbols Ex: resistors, Diodes, NO, NC, Ground
- Attention to detail
- Ability to find errors in sequence of numbers and letters combined Ex: 1AD-C0491
- Understanding of Electrical circuits
- Experience with Current injection
- Experience with Powering up Relays
- Knowledge of PLC
- Experience with SEL, GE protection Relays
Preferrable skills:
- Good communication skills
- Remain calm under pressure
- Self-motivated
- Ability to follow procedure and adherence
- Team oriented
Other Requirements:
- Ability to meet attendance requirements, be on time for work and have reliable transportation
- Work 4 – 10-hour days with some mandatory overtime from time to time
- Job requires certain range of physical movement Ex: bending, kneeling, and standing
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2-3 years’ experience within a Quality related position OR
- AAS Degree from Technical College in Electrical Engineering or Industrial Electrical related fields
- Must pass Criminal Background Check, MVR Check, & Drug Screen
